Meet the Team at Old Hickory Lake Dental

Chelbi Boon
Co-Owner/Office Manager

Chelbi is the heart and soul of Old Hickory Lake Dental. A proud Tennessee native from the Crossville area, she spent many successful years as a talented hairdresser in both Crossville and Oklahoma City. She ultimately set that career aside to pour her energy into building our practice, turning our office into the warm, welcoming environment our patients and team love. With her keen eye for design, Chelbi personally decorated every detail of the office and continues to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

An avid outdoorswoman and former athlete who grew up playing volleyball and basketball, Chelbi now spends most of her free time with her greatest joy—her two children, five-year-old Nash and two-year-old Rosie. The kids are truly her world. In late 2024, she and Dr. Boon relocated the family back to Tennessee to be closer to her roots and extended family. When she’s not at the office or with the kids, Chelbi loves traveling and exploring new places with her family. Her passion for people and attention to detail make every visit to Old Hickory Lake Dental feel like coming home.

Dental Assistant

Hey there! I’m Leah, a Colorado native. Growing up, I spent a lot of time hunting and fishing with my dad, which fostered my love for the outdoors. I’ve been working in dentistry for six years, a path inspired by a friend who encouraged me to pursue a career as a dental assistant. After graduating from Pima Medical Institute, I found that dentistry has been a fantastic choice for me as a young adult. I’m passionate about helping others and have a keen interest in all things medical. My mission is to transform the dental experience for patients, making it more comfortable and positive.

Lauren
Dental Hygienist

Meet Lauren, the dental hygienist with over six years of experience who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. She loves making a meaningful difference in people's lives, whether it's alleviating pain, overcoming dental anxiety, or enhancing their overall dental experience. When she's not at work, Lauren enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Jared, their son, Matthew, and their dog either relaxing on the lake or having fun at home.

Kelly
Dental Hygienist

Meet Kelly, a proud Hendersonville resident for 26 years and a graduate of Beech High School and TSU for dental hygiene. She is an excellent clinician with over 14 years of experience practicing as a dental hygienist . When she's not caring for patients, Kelly enjoys wildlife, watching football, and cheering on her 12-year-old son in his competitive soccer games.

Front Office Coordinator

Say hello to Kammi, the seasoned dental professional with over 28 years of experience in the field. Recently relocated here to Hendersonville with her husband from Northern Illinois to be closer to her daughter, son-in-law, and one-year-old grandson. Kammi brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our practice.
